Note about different versions of Kindle
A few different versions of Amazon Kindle e-book reading device are available for purchase. We recommend at least the 3rd generation of Kindle, which is available as Kindle Keyboard (Wi-Fi, 6"), Kindle Keyboard with Special Offers (Wi-Fi, 6"), and Kindle Keyboard 3G (Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 6").
Due to the lack of language support, out of the box, for some of the foreign books on our website, we do not recommend Kindle DX (Free 3G, 9.7") or the earlier (1st and 2nd) generations of Kindles.
