What is an e-book?
An e-book or an electronic book is a volume of data formatted for reading on an electronic device. E-books are similar to traditional books printed on paper. An e-book can be an electronic version of a paper book; many old classic paper books are scanned and converted into e-books.
What do I need to read an e-book?
To read an e-book you need an e-book reader or an electronic book reading device. Computers loaded with special software, smart-phones, and electronic tablets are examples of e-book reading devices. To read e-books downloaded from our web site we recommend the latest generation Amazon Kindle reading device.
How do I put an e-book from your website to my Kindle?
Download the e-book to your computer first, and then copy it into your Kindle documents folder via USB, or e-mail the e-book to your @free.kindle.com address for Wi-Fi delivery. For more details see Kindle help.
You may also be able to load the e-book you want by navigating to this website directly from your Kindle experimental browser, then clicking on the e-book download link, and following the on-screen instructions.
I have some other e-book reader, can I still read these e-books?
Sure; the e-books on our web site are in Mobipocket format, as long as your e-book reader supports that, you can read the e-books. Also, the e-book reader should support the language and encoding of an e-book. The foreign language books on our website are encoded with UTF-8.
What do I do if my e-book reader does not support Mobipocket format?
If your e-book reader does not support Mobipocket format, you may still be able to read the books from our website after converting them into one of the formats your e-book reader supports. A popular application for converting and managing e-books is Calibre by Kovid Goyal.
